Healthy Snacks for Breaktimes

Children are encouraged to bring a healthy snack for break-times.  This should ideally be provided in a small named container.

Children must not bring snacks, which contain nuts, to school. We have several children for whom eating and even coming into contact with nuts would produce an anaphylactic shock

Our school takes part in the National fruit scheme, which means that a range of fruits and vegetables are provided every day  - free! Most days, we also provide free bagels for all age groups. In addition to this, your child can also have milk if they are in Early Years and Key Stage 1.

If you are struggling for ideas for healthy snacks that your child might like there are websites such as www.schoolfoodtrust.org / www.greatgrubclub.com  which may prove useful.
