Learning and Living Together

Young Carers

To celebrate Young Carer's Awareness Day today we are running circle time sessions for all classes focusing on who you carers are, the types of things a young carers may have to do, the impact of their caring role, discussing how young carers may feel whilst reinforcing the support we have for young carers in school. This raises awareness of young carers issues and embeds knowledge too!

We will also be joining the:

-A 24 hour tweetathon across Stockport. Using hashtags #StockportYoungCarers and #YoungCarersAwarenessDay.  Join the conversation on social media and share what you’re doing for Young Carers in 2020!

This shows our commitment to young carers within our school and highlights the support we have for young carers at Cale Green!

All Young Carers can attend a Young Carers drop in every Tuesday lunchtime with Mrs Harding/Ms Rogers.

All Young Carers can self-refer to Mrs Harding/Ms Rogers if they feel they need additional support.

Ms Rogers can provide additional emotional support and homework support in school.

Ms Rogers can refer to Signpost Young Carers service for additional support if this is required.
