Parent Governor Role

Being a parent governor is a challenging role as governors are highly accountable to the school community and Ofsted. It requires an on going commitment as throughout the year as there are a range of meetings (12 in all), some which take place in the mornings, some in the afternoons and some after school. Governors are also expected to get fully involved in the life of the school, attending school events, as well as taking part in Local Authority governor training events. We particularly welcome governors who have specific skills which can strengthen the governing body as a whole. Under our ‘Instrument of Governance’ Cale Green Primary School has 2 parent governors.
